In Post #17 on Page 2, MoreCoffee stated:
Your replies suggest that you are in sympathy with the teachings of Jehovah's witnesses. Have you been studying with them? Or do you adhere to similar teachings that arise from another group?

As pointed out in Pedrito’s previous post (Post #19 on Page 2), whenever MoreCoffee plays the Jehovah’s Witnesses card, the Reader can be assured that MoreCoffee is attempting to defuse a situation that he deems a danger to the teachings of his church.

Note the clever use of words (a much seen ability for which MoreCoffee deserves our admiration), such as “in sympathy with the teachings of Jehovah's witnesses.” and “do you adhere to similar teachings that arise from another group?

That last question, drawing attention to “another group” was designed to strike a chord in the minds of the majority of Readers of this thread. The majority of Posters in and Readers of this thread have a strong loyalty – a strong loyalty to a particular organisation of their choice. So it is easy to plant the thought that everyone must have such a loyalty – in this case, Pedrito.

And thus, by planting the idea that Pedrito is simply (or possibly) parroting ideas from an organisation he belongs to or is “in sympathy with”, MoreCoffee can be seen to be skilfully playing a slightly different emotional card – if not ideas of Jehovah’s Witnesses, then “similar teachings that arise from another group”.

However, the Reader should bear in mind that all Pedrito has ever done is present Holy Scripture in its original context, highlight the proper context of misquoted Scripture, and at times ask people who have quoted Scripture out of context to explain the meaning of the quoted-from passage as a whole.

Pedrito has also thanked people like MoreCoffee for highlighting for us, Holy Scripture that actually contradicts cherished teachings of their (his) chosen religious organisation. And Pedrito has removed the taint that some Scripture had been subjected to.

Pedrito has also clearly been guilty of asking Scripture-based questions that people have been unable or unwilling to answer.

(And of pointing out the use of emotional (courtroom) techniques.)

What else could MoreCoffee do but say something like:
“[COLOR="#a5025c”]Your replies suggest that you are in sympathy with the teachings of Jehovah's witnesses. Have you been studying with them? Or do you adhere to similar teachings that arise from another group?

By employing that approach, MoreCoffee has actually confirmed the validity of, and the logical unassailability of, Pedrito’s submissions.
