I am really lazy when it comes to stretching as my muscles naturally feel sore anyway and I just want to get out so that I can start my run immediately. When I finish running I am usually out of breath but I try to walk around and stretch about to avoid cramp as much as possible. Last night I had a good run that left me feeling very tired but a banana did the trick, and I woke up this morning feeling fresher than I normally do after a run.
I admit though when it comes to stretching it is easy to ignore the muscles that you don't think you use all that much or the muscles that don't tend to hurt. I always fall into this trap with my arms when it comes to running. I know I should stretch better. Do you have any stretches you recommend?
