Does your denomination have a stance on organ donation?

My denominations stand:
The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod encourages organ donation as an act of Christian love, but this choice is entirely up to the individual and/or his or her family, and should not be a cause of guilt or regret no matter what decision is made.

The Bible has nothing specific to say regarding this issue. Therefore, it is a matter of Christian freedom and personal (or family) discretion.

Could you state what the Roman Catholic fifth commandment is please since other denominations might list them differently?

How do you kill someone who is dead already?

When someone's heart stops beating, or flatlined, and a code is run where they do everything to bring someone back and it does not work and they can not bring a person back to life, that is not killing. This is when organ donation is decided. The person is already dead.

I honestly don't know. It's the sort of thing where I don't really care about denominational stances, I don't see it as an issue that relates to salvation so I'll make my own decision.

You need a health care pro here but if that’s the case you can’t take the organs, they must be alive or the organs quickly degrade

Usually it’s a person who had some kind of accident and are called brain dead, but the body is healthy and on support

but I’m not a doctor

I heard of one excellent doctor who did many transplants then there was an emergency call to harvest an organ, something he never did before, when he got there he was mortified and said he is still alive, I would be killing him and never did another transplant operation ever again
For what it’s worth
