I swung shifts for many years and I always was tired on the third shift and could not sleep right during the day. Unfortunately that was the whole time I did that

Good morning all, had about 12 hours sleep last night, breakfast is my usual and morning coffee.

Rather tedious day today. Took my car in to have a rogue light checked out only to find the light went out, which means they can't figure out what it might have been. So now I just have to see if it comes back on again, and take it in if it does. Took the chance to run a few errands in town, then did a little bit of bashing and smashing in my house. I got a few more bad mortar joints chiseled out and replaced, then just felt the urge to do something less sophisticated so ripped out some drywall from a wall that's coming down. I plan to take down a wall between a bedroom and an adjacent closet to make the bedroom bigger, which means a wall coming down. Thankfully it's not a supporting wall so it's a job I can probably do myself. It will add at least 30% to the size of the room, probably more. The closet is very narrow and deep, meaning it's not much use for anything.

I am almost done crocheting a scarf for next Christmas and I think I'll give it to one of my nephews since it matches his style.

Good afternoon all, sipping a white chocolate coffee and a lemon iced tea. Lunching on leftovers with orange juice. Doing yoga and meditation till dinner and resting tonight.

It's warm here but we've got rain and high winds expected. I like to get out and walk but getting wet in a windstorm isn't much fun.

It looked like rain by us but nothing happened. I think we're getting it tomorrow and then sun in the afternoon and still 60s all weekend which is great!

We didn't actually get any rain, or much wind, at all. My wife and I went for lunch with a couple of friends. There's a little brewpub not far from us that we all really like. It's a little spendy but worth it, as long we don't go often enough to make the credit card hurt.

Hoping it warms up a bit, if it does I'm going to hit the trails again. It's been a few days, what with it being cold or wet or having other stuff to get on with.

I got my walk in. This time I was using two trackers, my old Fitbit and a shiny new Garmin watch tracker. The Fitbit has been measuring the distance of my walk getting shorter, which I figured is because I'm getting fitter and my stride length is improving. The most recent estimate from Fitbit was about 8 miles. The Garmin uses GPS and clocked it at 7.4 miles. Shame it's got shorter than I thought but it's still a really nice walk. Today I was pushing hard, wanting to see what sort of metrics I could get it to clock. For a short time my pulse was reading 193, although the highest it shows on the GPS log was 186. Now I gotta say I'm feeling pretty good, a nice rush of endorphins to reward me for my efforts. As if the views weren't enough
