@Andrew

Why was the link removed? It did not "promot(e) Islam". The Link provides material against Islam, by one who speaks Arabic, from Islamic (Muslim) original sources, by I. Q. al Rassooli. Then I am PM'ed about this, when it is the mistake of Moderation? Hello?

Why would I, a Seventh-day Day Adventist true to the word of God, ever "promote Islam"? My character is being maligned here. please correct the mistake made by moderation. I have taught against Islam on many forums, including Muslims ones! I have written hundreds of pages on the subject.

Even the SoP/ToJ of Seventh-day Adventists states:

The Home Missionary; September 1, 1892, 'Ye Are My Witnesses.' -
“... The Saviour has said, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” He says again, “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent." Mohammedanism has its converts in many lands, and its advocates deny the divinity of Christ. Shall this faith be propagated, and the advocates of truth fail to manifest intense zeal to overthrow the error, and teach men of the pre-existence of the only Saviour of the world? O how we need men who will search and believe the word of God, who will present Jesus to the world in his divine and human nature, declaring with power and in demonstration of the Spirit, that “there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” O how we need believers who will now present Christ in life and character, who will hold him up before the world as the brightness of the Father's glory, proclaiming that God is love! {HM, September 1, 1892 par. 4} ...”

This is a fun chat thread. The link has no place in this thread. On first appearance it seemed as though the link was promoting Islam.

Was. I'm out, due to you. I will not be coming back to this thread simply because of you. You cannot even apologize, admit error, or even correct your error publically.
The link has no place in this thread.
That was not the place where you started in reasoning, in the thread, neither in PM. Your present reply is a save-face reply, simply due to the fact that you were in the wrong, clearly, and yet cannot admit your error, and neither corrected yourself about my character (for your 'moderation' and deletion implies that I sanctioned Islam, when I clearly do not, neither the link). Should I point to other links in this thread? I do not expect any kind of justice from you, or in future. It is obvious that you have an agenda against me from square one. That is your prerogative of course and I leave it with you.

You didn't even bother to consider the material in the link itself, and summarily dismissed it as pro-Islam. You couldn't possibly have even read a paragraph on that linked material, neither even listened to a minute of the intro video material. "first appearance", yeah right.

I hoped better from you. I do not expect any change from you in future, neither for you to simply correct your error. Like many these days, they walk in infallibility.

I did read the introduction on the link...here is a snip for my members to know. If you think that this type of wording immediately says that Islam is wrong, then you need to take another look at how this intro doesn't even do that. So instead of yelling at me, maybe take a better look at the site you're wanting to share first. At first appearance, anyone would think that this is in favor of Islam.

Massively lazy morning this morning. Still need to decide where in the basement to mount a couple more units, partly for storage and partly because I'd really like them to be out of the way. At some point I need to do some wiring work on the porch but need to figure whether the best course of action is to try and mark up where I need to drill holes and then drill through metal trim and wood, or drill the holes in the wood and try to cut through the metal in a way that aligns with the wood. I'm just not sure how well my hole saw will cut through metal and don't want to find it ruins a piece of trim, because it's older trim and I don't have any replacement pieces. Maybe I can find a pair of small tin snips or similar so I can cut a hole that's about the right size. Once the hole is cut in the metal it will be covered with a light fitting so it doesn't matter if it's not hugely pretty.

Had a bit of a forehead-slapping moment yesterday. Trying to figure out where to put some stuff that's resting on the wall unit I want to hang and then remembered I just got done hanging some wall units. You know, so I'd have somewhere to put the stuff that's sitting around in random places.

So anyway, now my wall units have some stuff in them.

Hello morning all! How's it going so far with your day? Today, I've just had a hair wash and a long very cold bath on a particularly hot and muggy day, feeling better after. Tonight, just playing some games on my Switch before tucking myself in bed.

I got a walk in yesterday evening - it was a nice evening for a walk. I ended up out much later than expected because I bumped into a friend and chatted for longer than I planned. I felt a bit silly walking the last half mile or so home in the dark, with my sunglasses. Oh well.

Today I've been ripping out some cast iron pipework. The radiators that are drained and disconnected were previously connected to the cast iron, and all of it needs to come out so I can rejig everything. In a way it pains me to remove stuff that has worked for decades but the pipes are at head height and I'm sick of banging my head on them. I'm also going to need to move at least some of them so I can reframe some walls and frankly the thought of the work required to move a radiator an inch or so, with all the work it would take to shorten a cast iron pipe, seems like the best solution is to start over and connect them up with PEX. So I've got a roll of PEX (I'll need much more, but this is a start) and I can drill holes in the ceiling joists to run the PEX so it's not in my face all the time. And then I can put something a little prettier between the floor and the radiator, wherever the radiator ends up going.

Now I need to figure out what to do with a bunch of cast iron pipe pieces. I might need to cut them into shorter fragments so they will fit in my car. Then maybe I can gather up a load of stuff and take it to the metal recycling place and get some money for it.

Wow, I woke up really late for the first time in a long time...after waking up at 4:30 though LOL But I'm glad I got to go back to sleep.

Doing laundry now and wondering how I want to do my 10,000 steps today.

Had a stomach virus yesterday along with fatigue for the past three days, much better today aside from an over sleeping headache.

Going to swing by the hardware store later today for their annual sale. There are a few low-value things I want to get because they are slightly cheaper than usual and you never know when there might be deals sufficiently good that I can't refuse them. I'm not expecting anything earth-shaking but there are a couple of higher value tools I've had my eye on for a while and a stormingly good price might be what it takes to get me to bite.

I also need to rip out some more of the cast iron pipework, I just need to figure out the best way to do it to make sure everything that needs to be supported is supported while I cut it. Yesterday I got into a spot of trouble because a section of pipe wasn't as well supported as I thought, which meant I needed to try and prop it up to reattach a support to it. That took a bit of tinkering, involving some scraps of OSB and a six-foot length of wood I hadn't used yet. It will be good to get some more of it removed, it will make moving around my basement much safer for me and also open up most of a wall as usable work space.

Nothing particularly interesting in the sale at the hardware store. There are a few specials but nothing that tempts me to buy a $500 tool that I don't need right now. I'd like a good deal but having a tool gathering dust and going out of warranty before I need to use it in anger needs a better sweetener than they had on offer today. I got a couple of smaller things along the way. And they had free ice cream, which was a bonus.

And then my wife and I had lunch. There's a little place not far from us that's pretty good and very reasonably priced. The first time I went there I really wasn't impressed, it felt like there were too many tables squashed in too tightly together and it got really tedious when (mostly old) people expected me to keep shuffling my chair because they couldn't be bothered to walk around the table. Now they've rearranged it so each table has space, which is nice. The food is good and the prices are very fair, and the service is usually pretty good too.

Now I'm looking at my next piece of work with these cast iron pipes and figuring out what I need to cut and in what sequence so it doesn't all land on my head.
