Good morning all, had about 12 hours sleep last night, lunching out today.

I finally got the kitchen floor mopped and am waiting for it to dry so I'm kind of stuck in the family room for now.

Good morning all, had about 12 hours sleep last night, breakfast is my usual and my morning coffee.

Almost a week after falling on my butt in the woods, the wrist that took some of the landing is starting to feel sore. I guess it's to be expected. The patch where I skinned my finger against (I assume) a tree is improving rapidly - one has healed up completely and the one that got more damaged is probably about 60-70% of the way to normality. And the assorted scratches etc down my forearm are gone. Note to self - don't fall on the ice in the woods....

My birthday presents from my sister arrived and I love my new phone case! I'm looking at Amazon to see what I can get with a gift card.

Good night all, been doing half an hour aroma therapy and music therapy, relaxing on my phone till dinner and resting tonight.

Chilling with some beer and snack food, watching TV with my wife. A nice quiet New Year this year.

Lazy morning this morning. If the weather clears up we might go for a walk in the woods this afternoon. If my wife joins me it will be a gentler walk - she isn't as confident on the more demanding trails (not least because she doesn't hike them anywhere near as often as I do) but there are a couple of options that feature more rolling hills rather than a three mile blast that's uphill almost the entire way. At least with the blast you get the physical work out of the way and then enjoy three miles of downhill to finish off.

Went for a walk in the woods with my wife. It was one of the easier trails - about six miles out and back with rolling hills that are mostly quite gentle. It started out feeling quite cold but once the sun came out it was glorious.

Good afternoon all, having an iced coffee and a hot cappuccino. For lunch today : leftovers with orange juice. Doing aroma therapy and music therapy till dinner and heading the sack tonight.

Got the groceries this morning, started the soup for dinner and threw in a load of laundry. Now I need to find some lunch since I skipped breakfast.

Got another walk in. I decided not to do the loop to the vista since from the top of the trail it was clear there was snow, and I don't want to fall on my butt again. I took in 1500 feet of climbing over about 7 miles all in. It got warm on the way up, then the sun went behind the cloud and the wind was chilly so I put my sweatshirt back on. But not before taking a selfie wearing a T-shirt on a trail surrounded by snow.

I decided today was a good day to put away all the Christmas things. I was going to wait until the weekend like I normally do but my husband wants to go out and do things and not be stuck boxing things up. So I managed it. Now I'm tired.

My wife did that while I was out hiking. She's much more into the whole decorating thing than I am, so usually about all I do is help shift boxes from the attic and then leave her to it.

Good afternoon all, sipping an iced cappuccino and a medium roast coffee. Lunching on leftovers with orange juice. Doing aroma therapy and music therapy till dinner and preparing for sleep tonight.

My wife did that while I was out hiking. She's much more into the whole decorating thing than I am, so usually about all I do is help shift boxes from the attic and then leave her to it.

Does she put on loud music while doing it? That helps motivate me to keep going.
