Just made french toast for breakfast. I love using my homemade vanilla and will be asking the family soon if they've used any that I gave to them for Christmas! It gives such a wonderful flavor to everything.

I missed services today because I caught my daughter's cold. My poor kid is getting sick at every holiday now but then she works at a place where illnesses just keep getting passed around.

My wife and I skipped church this morning. We both woke up with headaches and decided we'd rather stay home. We were supposed to be visiting a friend tonight but cried off because we didn't feel like dealing with a noisy group. So we'll sit at home, watch some TV, and probably greet the new year with a glass of something fancy.

Finally got back to church this morning and brought a friend along. He very much loved it, says he feels lighter and happier! God bless. I didnt dress up in usher attire and sat between him and a sister... my brother came up to me and said "let nothing hinder you" and I had been itching to run around the courts and once he said that I jumped over the pew (since I was blocked in) and ran around twice lol my buddy was probably like "what the heck did that guy tell Drew?"

I let my daughter use my car since hers is having problems and now mine won't start, so I'm sitting here watching for AAA to come and give me a tow to a garage to get a new battery

Idling as a playground for evil but no evil here.... actually im dreading returning back to work after a week off... or maybe I cant wait... tweedily dee twidily dum doo do do bum bum.... i feel rather off today but i heard its normal to feel confused between christmas and new years before going back to work lol

I did get to play "by the rivers of babylon" based on psalms on guitar today... I guess that was the highlight

There was a 2 hour delay for the start of school today so I am going in to my new job in about half an hour. Looking forward to meeting my supervisor and to start orienting to my new job. It should be fun

I've been cleaning up for 10 hours I think. Yesterday and today. Always handy when I have some time off and don't have to work.

Mentally bracing myself to pull down a small section of wall in my house. Pulling the wall down is an easy job, what concerns me is what I might find behind it. It's a spot where my thermal camera shows I'm losing the most heat, and I can feel a draft coming through the gap between the broken edge of the wall and where I pulled down an adjacent wall.

The corner is where the house was extended and I know that whoever built the extension cut many corners, so I'm hoping I don't find they did a hideous botch of the join between the existing wall and the new wall. If they did I will probably need to call a professional, fixing structural issues is way beyond my skill level.
