Being in the country illegally, they shouldn't have the same rights those who are here legally have

No, for many reasons.

Firstly, they shouldn't be here at all. Why reward people for breaking the law?

Secondly, how do you know who is even an actual illegal immigrant and who is a tourist? The very fact they are "undocumented" indicates there's no way of knowing how many there are or even if the same person is claiming multiple times.

I know the silly fringes of the political left think we should throw money at anybody and everybody but it's rapidly becoming comical. Self-employed citizens struggle to get help through a government-imposed shutdown of their businesses while AOC and her ilk take their money to throw it liberally at people who aren't even supposed to be in the country.

In my opinion, I believe we should help everyone that is in our country, and then promptly throw them out if they are here illegally, they are humans after all. My dad was an illegal, but those were different times. He ended up serving in the US Air Force as a citizen of a foreign country, graduated from a Big Ten university, and went on to a prestigious seminary he got a job and a green card. My mom’s family has been here, I can safely say, longer than most anyone in the “US”.

Many other countries will help any person (even a visitor) with full medical assistance if needed even without cost. Because this seems to be a global problem, we as a country should be part of the solution. My dad decided to become a US citizen just before he died at 80. Of course, without some sort of control we don’t know who will abuse the system, but also so called Americans abuse our system because they are scum.

A recent survey concluded that about half the world's population would like to live in the USA if they could get here. We obviously cannot rob our own citizens and taxpayers to shoulder a constantly growing burden that now costs BILLIONS of dollars annually, and that's not to count all the services that illegals use which were paid for by the citizens who, in many cases, can barely make ends meet themselves.

It's all fine and good to talk about typical or selected illegals, but if the reality of open borders is faced up to, there is no moral or economic justification for it.

Still, perhaps we can look forward to a time when illegal immigrants can get free money, drive, vote etc without any paperwork at all while lawful residents are required to produce papers to prove they are allowed to be outside at all.

Here's a thought. If we're handing out money to people who shouldn't be here, why stop there? Why not hand out money to all the people who are actually obeying the law by not being here? I'm sure there are billions of people around the world who could really use an extra $1200 about now.

My OP question was not addressing giving medical need but instead should the stimulus money be given to illegal immigrants?

Oh sorry, it was too far up to read. Don't recipients of the stimulus money have to pay a federal income tax/file to get money or be at least counted on a 1040? I have known many illegal people filing and paying taxes. IRS and immigration do not share information at least not until recently.

So people paying into the system waiting to be legalized are thrown out to the street? I wouldn't want to take money that could help and not help them just because of their situation. Or maybe I would, more money for our USA citizens that take advantage of the system and can steal legally from all of us. Stop the abuse, then we would have enough to be Christian and help our fellow being without even a sacrifice.

If you want to help someone you get to spend up to 100% of your personal wealth helping whoever you choose. That's not the discussion here. The discussion here is whether the government should be giving money to people here illegally. In other words it's about whether people should be legally forced to help lawbreakers.

Did those illegals steal social security numbers to file?

Did those illegals steal social security numbers to file?

From the article it looks like some used made up SSNs, others applied for an ITIN and paid taxes in the hope of it providing a path to citizenship.

The article mentions that even illegal workers paid through a regular payroll will have social security and medicare taxes withheld even if they don't benefit from them and acknowledges that for workers paid in cash it's largely optional to file taxes because nobody would ever know about it.

It then trashes its own points arguing that even illegal immigrants pay property taxes and sales taxes. Renters don't pay property taxes other than indirectly and everybody who spends money in the country pays sales taxes. By the arguments of this article it's a very small step to claim that regular tourists to the US should also get help, as they pay sales taxes and, through staying in hotels etc, help pay property taxes there too.

Essentially what it does is argue that someone here illegally might pay some taxes and therefore the fact they are here illegally shouldn't matter.

No and they don’t! A 1099 is needed as Is a tax filing for 2019!

To be honest I would say only to follow the law then no as this would never happen but if it wasn't for having to stand up for laws already made then it wouldn't be as bad if they had a job and lost their job. It's mainly the fact that if you make a law, your expected to follow that law. So it's not like they could just give money to illegal Migrants even if they wanted to. As it wouldn't be ethical though some may deserve it.
