none of these establish the office or validate the existence of rome's pope .. NONE -remember ?your supposed to be giving scripture to validate your false doctrine ..I call it false becaseu it has no scriptural validation .your doing an old cult trick to flood irelavant information and HIDE facts .its a very dishonest practice -iv begun expecting little more from you .you asked to be treated like an adult ,then you speal lists of irrelevant verses -which amounts to putting your fingers in your ears and saying" ngah ngah i cant hear you . " not adult reasonng at all .

i gave scripture which simply and clealry showw that JESUS is the ROCK .

your waffling scriptures that shows peter is a disciple like ALL the other disciples . and one of the "sent" apostle means sent ,-very good ,you have used scripture establish that he is a disciple of the lord JEsus - I agree. he was.

and how any of the verses you've quoted validate the claim to the false office of "pope".. oh NONE - ZERO NADA .
Yet James the brother of Jesus was head of the Sanhedrin in Jerusalem, not Peter

Do you mean the COUNCIL of Jerusalem (Acts 15)? Not the Sanhedrin (the ruling body of JUDAISM under the authority of the Roman Empire)?

Yes, JAMES was the leader of the COUNCIL OF Jerusalem (and very notably, NOT Peter). Now, there is some disagreement as to which "James." I hold that this is James, the brother of Jesus. But there are some who believe that this is James the Lessor, a pretty much insignificant and unknown Apostle. Both are theoretically possible, but either way - it's not Peter.

Yes, I think a case can be made that the first leader of things is JAMES (take your pick: James - brother of Jesus or James - the lesser, insignificant, unknown Apostle) - and not Peter.

Now, back to the issue of the thread????? Wink

footnote there : "There were three gates on the east and three gates on the north and three gates on the south and three gates on the west. And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. -rev 21:14 ... doesn't seem like God considers any of them to be insignificant or lesser ,nor any one greater than the other .
in fact the lord .
