Definitely rural. I'm sick of crowded areas. Once you see what it's like away from the crowds of people, life is happierRats in a cage is a true concept of city living.
I must admit I did like being able to get around on foot for most of my day to day requirements when I lived in the city. It was really nice only putting 2000 miles a year on my car. The lack of space does get tedious. Unless you're incredibly wealthy having lots of space in the city isn't an option.
Plus, you don't have much privacy! With housing so close together you can hear through the walls. My daughter always complains about the neighbor upstairs who yells at his mom while on the phone.
