I just saw a commercial for it and am curious what the episodes will be about but knowing me I'll forget to watch! I hope they have it online somewhere to catch up later on with missed shows.

Used to watch it as a kid. But really IMHO Hollywood is running out of ideas.

I'm glad to see her back. She had a very, very popular show so why not bring it back...:)

So true! All the old shows are being brought back because our generation was the TV watchers! I think the younger generation is more into Netflix type things so they can't catch their attention.

I watched it and thought it was disappointing. Preachy, but not many laughs in the mix.

I watched it and The Voice at the same time. I liked The Voice better! :)

All new seasons or new shows in general seem to struggle with reintroducing old and new characters in modern up to date times, once you get past that it usually picks up quite well.
I watched it and it started off with heavy modern pop culture undertones which comforts the audience, and then the PC and political overtones unsettles them, but then the emotional family embrace and usual conflicting character arguments connect them both and bring it back home.
My parents seem to like it, i chuckles at it a bit just like the old times but again I am usually too busy to watch tv at all anyway. It does remind me of old Roseanne shows, get past the funk and in a season or two (if its still on) the new seasons should be as the old ones were, just modern times.

I forgot to watch it of course but saw a few comments from my friends on Facebook that they thought it was too political. I can't remember at all if the old shows were political...does anyone remember?

Yes, I thought of that. It might happen in this case, but I'm unlikely to watch more episodes hoping that it will.

From what I recall, the old Roseanne shows did introduce a lot of socioeconomic issues to the audience that were pertinent in the nineties, but politics were barely addressed at all.

Good points you make. I may watch it again. I missed the political part while I was watching The Voice.
