Scripture does say that we are to confess our faults to one another. Thanks for going first, lol.

I think the worst thing I ever done (to my knowledge) was, lust. I slept with one of my best friends wife years ago. I wasnt exactly walking with the Lord at the time, but it still bugs me sort of. He was (prolly still is) one of my best friends, and I know that it shouldn't have happened.

Doesn't porn cost money? I didn't know what you were talking about at first, but then you explained what they are. So no wonder I didn't know, I've always been too cheap to pay for mere pictures, lol. It seemed stupid to me, there's girls on the street giving away the real thing for free. A lot of them. I've heard that porn is addictive so no way will I ever see my first bit of porn. i'm a porn teetotaler Lol.

But good on you Brother for setting it down and repenting of it. That is where spiritual growth come in! Now remember, scripture says we must diligently guard our heart and therein is our conscience so if you get the thoughts or urges to go view porn, there is your conscience saying dont do that...and when you go against your conscience, it hardens your heart and makes it harder to hear the voice of the Lord. So having a poor thought is not sin of itself, it is what you do with that thought. Don't dwell on it or go against your conscience.

Remember all through the Bible, there is talk of, they have a hardened hearts towards me their God and stuff like that. That's what that is talking about. Capture those thoughts in the name of Jesus and cast them down and say, no, for this would be disobedience. And then put it out of your mind and go read the Word. Works great!

Jesus taught us to confess our sins in our daily prayers, @Holy999. We need to keep doing it until God gives us his peace about them (Philippians 4:6-7).

Php 4:6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Php 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Maybe because it's easier to see the sins of others than to see our own?

It's hard to forgive ourselves because we don't fully realize that God has forgiven those sins...but also we sometimes see the impact that our sins have had on others and it makes us sad.
