Still working after 32 years at the same job. I am not sure I want to retire, but have to figure how to work it. Hate to go on government assistance (Medicare and SS). Medicare is not mandatory, but if you collect SS they make it happen automatically. They stole the money from me on both of these socialist programs and I would love to have my money back and leave it at that, lump sum.

If you are a citizen of New Zealand, once you're 65 years of age you can register to be paid superannuation fortnightly regardless of income, wealth, or employment status. I still work in my landscaping & property maintenance business a few hours a week but I've passed all but two regular clients on to other contractors.
