A few weeks before you see your doctor? You should be going weekly with all these feelings you have.

I agree and I'll ask if I can do that but for now its once a month. I believe they do it that way as there is so many people with mental health issues that need to be seen. :dunno:

It's also possible your healthcare plan plays a part? I'd inquire about it seriously.

Not to pry, but since you don't see her often and this is important then why aren't you seeing someone else in between sessions? You're going through a lot of suffering it seems and talking with qualified therapists would be very helpful. There are Christian Counselors throughout most of the country. Some use a grade scale for payments to help the financial burden.

Keep your thoughts on the holy scriptures and the good things that God promises. Be as cheerful as you are able. Receive the good things that God gives and look to them rather than to things that make you sad.

James 5:13-20 [13] Is any of you sad? Let him pray. Is he even-tempered? Let him sing psalms. [14] Is anyone ill among you? Let him bring in the priests of the Church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. [15] And a prayer of faith will save the infirm, and the Lord will alleviate him. And if he has sins, these will be forgiven him. [16] Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be saved. For the unremitting prayer of a just person prevails over many things. [17] Elijah was a mortal man like us, and in prayer he prayed that it would not rain upon the earth. And it did not rain for three years and six months. [18] And he prayed again. And the heavens gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. [19] My brothers, if anyone of you strays from the truth, and if someone converts him, [20] he ought to know that whoever causes a sinner to be converted from the error of his ways will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

I see a counselor every week. (She was out for 5 weeks, due to a shoulder surgery.) It just seems to help a lot to talk to someone you know better. I am beginning to talk to someone from church. A friend who is super nice.

I have a church friend who is helping me to stop thinking about myself and thinking about others. She wants me to get out of the house as she feels that its making me depressed. (Being alone) I'm also looking into volunteering at a animal shelter or a nursing home. And of course I need to start keep journal.

Volunteering is a great thing because there is an actual high that people get from helping others! And of course, other people NEED our help! So go for it :)
