Do you kneel, stand, or do something else when you are at prayer?

Is position important for prayer? I think that question needs to answered first before going into which position is better.

It depends on the situation.

When I used to ride the train for an hour to go to work I often used the travelling time to pray. I just leaned back in my seat, closed by eyes, and prayed. People around me probably thought I was sleeping. In a situation like that it wouldn't be appropriate to get into the aisle and get down on my knees.

Sometimes I'll sit in my chair and pray. If I'm with someone who wants prayer I may be standing or sitting. It's quite rare that I'll specifically get down on my knees to pray, although sometimes I do.

Honestly, I think God is more interested in my heart than what posture I choose to adopt to pray.

Nobody said one position was better, the question was just what position you choose.

All, I pray standing sitting driving pretty much any place at any time. Not all the time but they all apply at different times

I think guarding against pride or selfishness in your heart is more important than posture. I tend to sit in the same chair at the same time every morning and have my quiet time

I kneel, personally. I don't think it matters, though. It's just always felt right for me to kneel is all.

Whatever position I'm in at the time is how I'll pray.

Yep, and in the shower, when hiking, before going to sleep, when stopped at traffic lights, any time and anywhere really.
