I went outside a few moments ago to see if I could see any meteors. I caught one out of the corner of my eye and I get so happy when I can catch one at all! I'm not staying up until 2am to watch them though.

Last night my wife and I went to the top of a nearby mountain to get away from light pollution. We saw one, then enjoyed a view of the clouds that rolled in. We got home and saw two within a minute.

The night before I watched from the driveway and saw half a dozen or so including a couple of really bright ones. If the skies are clear tonight we'll be up on the mountain again, but the forecast is for more cloud.
