I’ve had ex-friends who used to sugarcoat things for me. I hate it most because I’m an honest, sincere, direct and straightforward person. I’ve had friends who were living in a happiness bubble too.

This can be tricky to deal with. On one hand I like honesty but on another I don't want them to be absolutely brutal so I like them to give me bad news in a way that's factual yet isn't too rude. Like, if I gained weight I wouldn't want someone to blurt out, Wow, you got fat! I would prefer them to find a different way to tell me.
