What is the etiquette for paying for groceries when you are staying at your in-laws' house for two weeks?

Usually it would be something agreed upon before we even step foot in the door.

When people visit me, I provide the groceries and if we go out, I'll pay for the first dinner outing and first round of drinks. Anything else is usually on them if they keep wanting to go out to eat all the time. It's too expensive where we live to do that.

So when we visit, I would offer to pay for things or bring some things from home (desserts maybe) and even take them out for dinner at a nice restaurant one night or two.
