Original Community Service Ideas

I have friends who live in apartments and during the past snow storm their shovels were stolen (at least 4 different people!). I think it would be a neat idea for community service to hand out shovels to those in apartment areas that still need to shovel out their cars, stairs, whatever the complex won't do.

What kind of original community service ideas can you come up with?

It is not original - being in the holy scriptures - but it is worth doing, visit your neighbours and strangers in your neighbourhood and see how they are. Be ready to present the good news of Jesus Christ and be ready to help in practical ways. Helping strangers is often commended in the lives of the saints in holy scripture.

I volunteer at a couple of things that help the poorer in our area, most of these places welcome volunteers where you can give of your time if you doont really havemoney to donate. For me it is the food bank and a program called bountiful blessings that heklps out with non food items

MC That may be so but that is not why I chose it. You sound like a Crip, or a Blood thinking certain colors mean I identify with you. NO. Green is the color of healing and health. I am a nurse so that is why I chose green.

I am not from the USA so these words "crip" and "blood" have a meaning with which I am not properly acquainted but if you observe the flag of Ireland you will see green, white, and orange the Green represents Catholic Irishmen, the orange Protestant Irishmen, and the white the desire for peace between the two.
