Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be like minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. (Philippians 2:2)

Given a group of men are growing in faith together, they may learn to think more alike. They may learn to see things more as God sees them. They become of One Mind.

Given there are deep division in a Church over theology and politics, that may be a spiritual crisis. There has been a lot of division in 2024. There has been division in The Catholic Church over Novus Ordo Mass vs Traditional Mass, and conflict over Modernism vs Tradition. The Orthodox Church split for the first time in a 1000 sum years more recently. The Methodists had a major split in their church more recently. This would be a sign of a Spiritual Crisis, and false teachers in the Churches.

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (2 Corinthains 10:5

God does not lie. The Bible is The Word of God. Given someone is becoming of "One Mind," he may be aligned with the Prophets of The Bible, developing The Power of the Tongue. Someone like Apostle Paul, before there was a New Testament, he taught out of the Book of Isaiah, showing people how Jesus had been fulfilling prophecy. We read the New Testament from an Old Testament understanding. Someone should be aligned. The Lord is a shepherd.

Is one denominations better than the others? I am not here to present that. Christans are to be law abidding. They are to follow directions and do good. Given the shepherd, the priest, the pastor, the bishop, given he his wrong, God may judge him. In a lot of denominations, someone may have been "Boxed in" with their thinking. Given there is a spiritual crisis, and people in leadership have been doing wrong, there may be a lot of dissent in the Churches.

Why does the Church split? Sin. The Kingdom of Israel was one country with King David and King Solomon. The Kingdom of Israel, it split. There became the Northern Kingdom of Israel, and the Southern Kingdom of Judah. Why did Israel spit? Sin. Why do Churches split? Sin and bad leadership.

Things to reflect on.

However, sometimes churches split over basic biblical truths that one faction doesn't want to accept cand the other one does. But many times it's due to politics and personalities.

Do you think also that it could be about "power" that splits them?

Just a thought for consideration, being of 'one mind' could mean, or lead to, something far more than just agreeing with one another in the worldly sense.

That's true, but Paul also allowed for differences on more peripheral, disputable matters of practice, as in Romans 14.

On the central, essential beliefs we must be unified: the Trinity, Jesus' divine and human natures, his death and resurrection as the only way to the Father's acceptance, and the inspiration of the Bible as God's Word, among others.
