Let's not move away from 10 yet. Will those who are His ever follow someone else?

I am not moving away from 10 but the Lord says more than that he is the good shepherd, he also says he is the vine and his Father is the husbandman who prunes unfruitful branches out of the vine. Let's keep focus on what the Spirit of the Lord says to the churches.

Like fruit?

You mean that Jesus got it all wrong and they don't need to bear fruit?

Amazing.

No. He got it right that we will bear fruit.

Jesus did make a break from/cut off from the Temple worship which is LAW that does not bear fruit to eternal life.

If your referring to the verse in John 15 about pruning, I believe that references to branches that are bearing fruit already. He prunes it so it can bear even more fruit.

So the vine will bear more fruit, what of those He prunes? Wonder who they represent since they would not be in the vine unless they were part of the vine

They are the ones in the vine that our Father prunes away the dead works of the LAW.

2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
3 To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
5 A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers." - John 10:2-5

Notwithstanding that all through John 10 there's evidence that He loses none of His sheep, and if He did it would cause a rift in the Trinity (as I've explain to deaf ears), but here we have Jesus clearly stating that His sheep will not follow another.

Jeremiah 50:6-7
6"My people have become lost sheep; Their shepherds have led them astray. They have made them turn aside on the mountains; They have gone along from mountain to hill And have forgotten their resting place. 7"All who came upon them have devoured them; And their adversaries have said, 'We are not guilty, Inasmuch as they have sinned against the LORD who is the habitation of righteousness, Even the LORD, the hope of their fathers.'…

Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Those who were in the book of life in the first place were at one time believers. There is no other way to have your name in the book of life. Revelation doesn't suggest that people assumed their names were in there...it says that he is removed.

There are tons more verses that address the falling away of faith. Law and Gospel need to be properly distinguished. Don't discard the Law because you don't want to hear the truth of it.

Yeah, Just as Jeremiah tried to reach the people of his day to turn to our Father's righteousness, so we preach how out Lord Jesus has given those who are His His righteousness. But, they cling to the LAW as if the Law which could not save them can now keep them saved.

That does not address my post.

Where does it say that those in the book of life are believers?

Revelation 20:15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Let me be a bit more clear, as I wasn't before. Where does it say that anyone thrown into the lake of fire was ever a believer?

It isn't works that are pruned away but branches and as the Lord says "ye are the branches".

The BRANCHES are pruned is what it said. Pruned of what? Dead works of the LAW. Why? So the fruit /works of the righteousness of God can be made manifest in us. Why is this so hard to understand? Maybe some people need some dead doctrines and dogmas pruned away.

Gal. 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Nope, what is says is this I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away:

I answered that in #243 already.

The passage has nothing to do with 'works of the law' being pruned. It is branches that are cut off and thrown into the fire. Your post #243 (the first quote above) doesn't even begin to deal with what the passage in John 15 says.
