The New York Times posted online the wrong verdict concerning the attempted assassination of Trump last year and the trial that occurred recently. The actual verdict was GUILTY and the NYT posted their pre-written Not Guilty version (by accident). A minute later they posted the correct one, but was the damage already done by then? At least it didn't get printed that way.

Most news sites usually write two different stories during a trial, one in case the defendant is guilty and the other being if they're not guilty. Its' like when the NFL prints t-shirts of both teams winning the Super Bowl; the difference is that the NFL doesn't sell the shirt of the losing team afterwards.
