Catlin Clark was not chosen to represent the U.S. in the olympics womens basketball.

I guess she just didn't make the grade.

Makes you wonder what the 'grade' was.

Why do you think she was not chosen?

The only real article I found on this said that one reason was because the fans would be upset by her limited playing time. So what? I don't get why fan reaction would make any difference.

There's been a lot of controversy over Caitlin allegedly having been mistreated in the league, the amount of playing time included among the criticisms; and whether or not that's fair, having her sit on the bench much of the time during the Olympics (when every one of the players on the floor will be a star) is something that would probably generate more unwanted controversy.

I wonder if Catlin was black that would make a difference. Can you see America turning away a fireball black American star from the olympics?

Or, if Catlin was black and was denied the olympics, what would be the outrage from the black community?

But, she is white. Thus blacks don't want to see her do better than other blacks in 'basketball'. And no one wants to upset the blacks. Thus Catlin has to just eat crow and say whatever is good for the team.

It's really nauseating. The only reason she was turned away is because she is white and would upset the blacks.

My opinion.
