I prefer Netflix instead of going to the theater, its a lot cheaper and easier anyways, you can find some cool stuff on there.

And on Netflix you don't get the irritating teenagers testing every single ring tone on their new phones, the tall person sitting in front of you or the child that just won't shut up for the entire movie. Nor do you get to pay $8 for low grade popcorn while being told you're not allowed to take your own food.

Where do you find the cheap $8 popcorn? We pay $20 for 2 pops and a popcorn!

Narcos and House of Cards are some good shows on there. They also have some great movies..Pulp Fiction, The Usual Suspects, Jaws, etc

My husband loved Narcos. It was the first series he watched when he signed up for Netflix last month (? Or was it December?). Blue Bloods caught his eye too but he went through all those seasons quickly! I think he's an addict now to Netflix!

I loved Stranger Things. You suggested it! Thank you :)

I also watched A Series of Unfortunate Events (the series) and it was cute.

My wife and I like Once Upon A Time.

We also quite like Prison Break, although some may find some of it unacceptably dark (much of it is set in a maximum security prison). Then there's The 4400, The 100, Terra Nova (parts of which are good, some aspects are a bit lame), Colony, Travelers etc.

We just finished the latest season. It's like they can't stand to have other characters around for long though, huh?

The UK House of Cards from the 1990s was/is far better than the USA adaptation.

I had no idea that the US version wasn't original! Don't we always steal things from the Brits though? LOL

My niece got me addicted to American Horror Story while she was visiting. I didn't care for every season because it seemed as if there was just killing for the sake of blood and gore.

I'm trying to remember if I saw that one. It's 2005...I just looked it up. It doesn't sound familiar. Nicholas Cage has been in so many movies it's hard to keep track of the ones I've seen!

I really enjoyed watching Merlin. As the name suggests it's about Arthurian legend, with an interesting twist. My wife and I watched all five seasons of it, 2-3 episodes at a time. When we got to the end we went back and watched it all again.

Did anyone watch Riverdale? It's loosely based on the Archie comic books but is more of a teenager soap opera. It was a bit interesting for season 1.

I also like Once Upon A Time. Season 6 has recently appeared on Netflix.

It's a curious story, set in a sleepy little village that just goes about daily life, until it becomes apparent that the people there are really fairy tale characters. Then follows a somewhat predictable set of battles of the Good Guys against the Bad Guys (as you'd expect for a fantasy type storyline). If you're wanting something that will require a lot of thought this isn't it, but for something light to watch of an evening over a beer or two it's light entertainment.
