What's your mashed potatoes secret ingredient?

It's no secret, but I use red potatoes for any potatoe receipe.

I like buttermilk so I use that instead of regular milk.

I also do not peel the potatoe. Mash them up peel and all. I do the same if I roast them or bake them. I always leave the peel on.

Then you just add the spices you like.

Cover two bulbs of garlic in olive oil after cutting off the tops, roast in the oven until soft, squeeze garlic from bulbs and combine with butter, cream, gruyere cheese, S&P. Fold into mashed potatoes.
