Lving biblically in the current times

I'm only talking about myself, none of what I say applies to others, unless ye yourself say it.

I'm starting to quit playing video games after 25 years of heavy daily playing. I'm also giving up a lot of movie media, because it's all about sex, magic or both and it's created a gap in my life. Of course I'm going to study the Bible more, but other than that; I'm bored out of my mind. I live in Houston, the most boring big city. I don't know what to do, because I can't go fishing everyday, I used to longboard but my back is shot, and walking trails are boring too. I'm looking for ideas, but I don't read secular books, don't want to learn another language. I'm open to ideas though. I need something practical and low budget that I can do on a daily basis. I'm cutting out a lot of media because there's so much sin in it. You hear Jesus' precious name used all the time in blasphemy, there's cleavage or worse in movies even cartoons have dirty stuff in it, and I don't like it. It is so annoying to see that stuff everywhere.

The early Christians also rejected entertainment, games etc.. nothing new under the sun, we are still singled out as being a rather boring bunch but there is nothing boring about the Bible.

One of my hobbies is geocaching. Turns those boring trail walks into something less boring looking for the caches.

If I were in your shoes, every morning when I awakened from sleep I would
ask Jesus to put in my mind something to do that day that would be a blessing
and over time it would turn into something and take shape into something
worthwhile to live everyday for it. Like a vision of your purpose on earth for Him.
