But why the bible?
Why not the Quran.
Or The Lord of the Rings?
Why not write your own holy book?

After all, what makes what mere men say so important to you?
The web site "biblehub" is the work of man.
- My answer:

- It is so different from what man usually does with it!

- The original text is so different from the usual translations!

- In most cases, they took away God’s name!

- Then it is completely empty!

- It has lost its meaning!

- It is impersonal!

- It has lost its salt!

- It is then tasteless!

- When you have God’s name in mind and especially its meaning then it is totally different!

- Then the special relationships between God and his faithful servants is incredible!

- There is nothing comparable!

- When you read about Moses trying to prevent God from destroying completely Israel!

- Wow!

- When you read Daniel’s prayer to God for the restoration of Jerusalem despite the mountain of sins committed by Israel and God’s answer: RESTORATION AND DESTRUCTION!

- Wow!

- When you read about Samuel being jealous for God because Israel wants a human king thus rejecting God even if they spend their time rejecting God all the time!

- Wow!

- When you read about God’s patience despite Israel’s spiritual prostitution and about the attitude of humanity!

- Wow!

- And I could go on like that!

- If there was a better site, I would use it!

- I need an interlinear translation and this one also gives the different definitions of the words so you can check it!

- I need to look at the original text!

- I don’t like the errors of the translations!

- And there are numerous!

I think you may have missed the reason I asked questions.

I want to know why the bible? Why do you pick the bible as your holy book.
Is it because God told you to? A voice from heaven.
Or is it because people told you to, voices from people or words on web sites?

- My mother was a Christian!

- I was raised as a Christian!

- But the family situation was complicated!

- I learnt by myself!

- I develop a consciousness by myself!

- Probably by seeing as Jesus says a big difference between what is written and what people really do!

- And reading by themself about the faithful servants of God!

12) Looking for Samuel

1 Samuel 3:2-9

Biblehub 1 Samuel 3:1

Biblehub 1 Samuel 3:9

- Here we have something exceptional!

- Samuel is sent to the House of God to serve him and this when he has just been weaned!

- In fact, he doesn’t know anything about God!

- But God will lead his path since the beginning!

- And he gets directly in contact with him since the beginning!

- What an incredible experience!

- Thus he will be taught directly by God from the beginning!

- I went into contact thanks to my mother but I learned to treat the Bible by myself!

- I have made it grow by myself!

13) Looking for Samuel

1 Samuel 3:10-14

Biblehub 1 Samuel 3:10

Biblehub 1 Samuel 3:14

- Imagine the situation: God speaks directly with Samuel who is just a boy!

- We can imagine that he will remember this event during his whole life!

- Something impossible to forget!

- And he tells him personally about his judgment on the house of Eli that is Eli and his sons!

- And he can see how Eli’s sons behave!

- And he can see that Eli doesn’t do anything!

- And he can see that God is patient!

- But when the appropriate time comes, he acts!

- And there is no way to escape!

- Does it remind you something about Israel!

- Do you really understand what it means for the human society!

- And here we can see that God says that Eli’s sons ARE CURSING GOD!

- AND WHEN YOU CURSE GOD YOU CAN’T ESCAPE!

- That’s definitely interesting!

- Samuel understands perfectly God’s message!

- He knows it is a condemnation against Eli and his sons!

- But above all against Eli!

- And Eli is like a father to Samuel!

- And he is the one who teaches him about God’s service!

- Ok let's say one thing to be clear!

- I started publishing on the internet 14 months ago!

- The first month I did and studied more than in my all life!

- And I did so for 10 months!

- The next month I did the same in 15 days!

- The following month I did in 10 days!

- And for the moment that's my rate!

- Thus I read and study and tell people about what I read!

- And it is clearer and clearer!

- But I still don't know anything!

- We are simple human beings in the universe!

- We are nothing compared to God!

- But I always try to learn as much as possible from the faithful servants of God and how they develop a special relationship to God!

- Then the rest comes or not according to God's will!

- I am not the one to decide!

- Faith without deeds is dead!

Most interesting.

I have believed, read, and proclaimed the gospel for over 40 years.
It is all a matter of grace, isn't it.
None of it is about how clever or studious one is.
As Saint Paul warned.
Now concerning those things that are sacrificed to idols: we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but charity builds up. But if anyone considers himself to know anything, he does not yet know in the way that he ought to know. For if anyone loves God, he is known by him. But as to the foods that are immolated to idols, we know that an idol in the world is nothing, and that no one is God, except One. For although there are things that are called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, (if one even considers there to be many gods and many lords) yet we know that there is only one God, the Father, from whom all things are, and in whom we are, and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and by whom we are. But knowledge is not in everyone. For some persons, even now, with consent to an idol, eat what has been sacrificed to an idol. And their conscience, being infirm, becomes polluted. Yet food does not commend us to God. For if we eat, we will not have more, and if we do not eat, we will not have less. But be careful not to let your liberty become a cause of sin to those who are weak. For if anyone sees someone with knowledge sitting down to eat in idolatry, will not his own conscience, being infirm, be emboldened to eat what has been sacrificed to idols? And should an infirm brother perish by your knowledge, even though Christ died for him? So when you sin in this way against the brothers, and you harm their weakened conscience, then you sin against Christ. Because of this, if food leads my brother to sin, I will never eat meat, lest I lead my brother to sin.
1 Corinthians 8:1-13
God bless and keep us all away from pride in our alleged theological accomplishments.

- Everywhere in the Bible, examples show us that pride leads us away from God!

- If we think we are important, we will never understand the Bible!

- Humility is the basis!

- The Bible tells us about faithful servants of God and how they were trained by him through hardship like Moses and Joseph and David!

- And it took many years!

- And then he used them to fulfill his will!

- Sometimes we don’t understand what happens to us and in due time we may understand only according to God’s will and according to his schedule!

- If you read my thread here the answer is clear!

- But if I already answered the question, I don't only think about the one who asks a question but also about all the people who are going to read the answer!

- Why God gave us the Bible if it is not to read it again and again to get answers?

- You can imagine it is not the first time I do it but it is the first time someone says something like that!

- Of course, there is always a first time!

- Once again it is really interesting!

- God hasn’t spoken to anyone in Israel for a long time!

- And now he speaks to a child!

- Eli knows what Samuel is going to tell him!

- Because he knows he is wrong!

- Do you remember Job: he knew he was right!

- Do you understand the similitude?

- So he warns Samuel!

- He wants to know each word!

- Because each word is important!

- Do you see the difference between God’s word and man’s tradition?

- Do you understand why they oppose?

- Do you understand that if you follow one you reject the other?

- You can’t serve two masters!

- You must choose one!
