I got this from the above weblink:

A Tulpa is an entity created in the mind, acting independently of, and parallel to mortal consciousness

History

According to legend a Tulpa is an artificial being or "thought form" created by those who have either meditated for prolonged periods of time or mastered some ancient magic: this Tulpa is often invisible but may become visible if its creator is strong enough to will them into existence, much like the Golem of Jewish folklore a Tulpa was considered dangerous and often grew bold and out of control - it was not uncommon for stories of Tulpas to turn sinister and even violent as the entities took on poltergeist characteristics or (in extreme cases) became almost demonic and capable of physical harm to others.

Once a Tulpa grows mischievous or violent it is said that only its creator holds the power to erase it and as such it is seen as vital for them to do so, some tales say that those who fail to do so may even become the final victim of the Tulpa.

So what this is saying is you can make a being up in your mind. And have them as a friend. And give them poltergeist powers?

Is it possible this could be wishful thinking? :(

A Tulpa is basically the same as a thought form in Theosophy but not even close to a golem which is an actual physical creation made from clay and then animated.

Most of current ideas of this are a sort of confused blend of Tibetan Buddhism and late 19th/early 20th century western esotericism and occultism. Golems are an entirely different category.

The average person should stay away from the study of such things, they tend to lead one spiritually astray and generally into a dead end in life where they think they understand everything but actually end up understanding nothing.

Are you the one doing the wishful thinking?

Read your Bible. God's Word explains about familiar spirits. They are spirit entities of that other dimension. They are not fabrications of one's mind, as that is a type idea the unbeliever would come up with.

Per Lord Jesus Christ in Luke 10, if you are one of His, He gave us power over all the enemy, so we don't need be concerned about them, they run from us when we cast them back to the pit in the Name of Jesus Christ.

No.For a friend that is nto that kind of stuff. :)

You have a lot of friends and relatives who need to read their bibles more. They're looking for answers in the wrong places that could end up damning their souls to hell.

All you have to do is find out if that person accepts the Nicene Creed and if they don't, they can't post here.

They can post in certain areas of our site, so you are giving false information.

Well, I'm sure you know I didn't mean that.
