Some time ago, I read the international bestseller, "A Long Way Home" by Saroo Brierley - a memoir of his amazing and heart-moving life.

The book has been made into a film, "Lion" (Saroos' name means "Lion" in Hindi). It's very excellent and I highly recommend it! It was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Drama.

It was first released around Thanksgiving but in very limited release and only recently came here. Because it's a small film in very limited release, you may have to look for it but I encourage you to do so (and of course, eventually it will be available on Netflix, etc.).

As usual, the book is far more detailed. Saroo is not, by any means, a professional author (and it shows) - it's just the personal memoir of the person who lived this, but it's powerful - and a quick, easy read.
