What was the most important lesson you learned from your father?

Don't know, but I remember very well when I was 8 I had a roll of candy and my brother wanted one. I'm 10 years younger than my sister and 8 years younger than my brother, so I was always the spoiled little kid. I said no it's my candy. My dad was shocked that I was so selfish. He gives you candy all the time and you can't even give him one? Hahaha. Hmmm okay then, but only one LOL.

Measure twice, cut once. My dad and I did a lot of work together on my previous house, and I learned a great deal about home maintenance, construction, etc from him.
