Does your church use kneelers?

Psalm 95:6 Come, let us worship and bow down, Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

If so, during which parts of the service do you kneel?

If no, why do you think they don't use them?

No, we kneel on the floor.

We kneel during some prayers. Especially during parts of the Eucharistic prayer.

If no, why do you think they don't use them?

The floor...owwww. I would have to wear knee pads to church!

Unfortunately, not. We have movable, individual chairs. I think they make these with kneelers but ours don't have them.

No kneelers, because we rent from a church that doesn't use them. Our former church had them, but only a few people actually used them.

Yes, we use them at general confession. I believe the physiology aids in contrition.

I confess..... I miss some of the choreography of Catholicism.....

In my Lutheran parish, we have the liturgy, we have the Eucharist weekly, some of us do the Sign. But I miss the kneeling, genuflecting, and especially to processionals and recessionals with the Cross (acolytes actually DO stuff in the Catholic Church!). Kind of miss some of the choreography....

We have kneelers at my current church and we kneel for confession and then when we go to the table for communion we also kneel. It is not mandatory to kneel and there are some who choose to stand.

This may be a little off-topic, but Pedrito knows not where else to ask.

Besides, the question is related to salvation. (He thinks.)

IACOBVS lists his status as “God save the Queen!”

During Pedrito’s early years in Australia, we used the British national anthem, “God save the Queen”.

Pedrito always wondered, from what?

Maybe IACOBVS can throw some light on the question.
