Yep. "Commensurate with experience" is another phrase they use. Or "Email us with your salary expectations." I usually let them know I expect to be paid in accordance with standard salary for this profession. In fact, I normally don't respond unless they give a range. If they give a range, I can decide if I want to waste my time (or theirs) by writing a resume, sending it in, then having an interview with usually 2-3 person panel, they write up an offer, only to decline because they pay soggy beans.expect an idea of the salary range upfront. I'm really not interested in spending time researching a company and interviewing for a job only to find the salary is a joke. It's all very well saying it's "competitive" but that doesn't actually mean anything useful.
