The character of Judas Iscariot in this movie is entirely inaccurate and the portrayal in the movie greatly detracts from scripture. The real Judas simply wanted money, stole money frequently from Jesus(he was put in charge of the purse for the group) as his only motivation for even tagging along with the group was his belief that there was money to be made in doing so and nothing else which was proven when he betrayed Jesus to his enemies for what would be seen in that day as mere pocket change which is a testament both to the foolishness of Judas and his obsession with money and where it ultimately led him which was his suicide and descent into hell when he found out too late what he had done.
One thing I noticed is that you don't believe the Bible is the ultimate authority as you believe this movie is the ultimate authority and anything else is put in place to defend it. You never trot out scripture unless it is to defend your movie which shows what you think of both quite clearly. When you stand before the great white throne of judgement, I can ensure you this movie and the shroud of Turin will not be getting referenced when your life is judged. The only thing that will be getting referenced is the books of the Bible and nothing else.
