I'm reading about how a student would be the one to seek out a Rabbi and he would be tested of his knowledge before the Rabbi would accept him. A Rabbi would not go out hunting for students because of his own pride.

Jesus was different. He called his disciples. He didn't test them first to see if they had what it took to follow Him. Isn't that just like Jesus and even a quality we see in God in the Old Testament when the normal guy was chosen and not the best or greatest? Jesus even took misfits!
