Veneration is giving honor and isn’t worship. Otherwise veneration of the US flag is worship.
Do you pray to the US flag?

Do you pray to the saints as determined by your church?

Hebrews 11 shows us the "great cloud of witnesses" that is our legacy. Many, since that time, have been added to that legacy. However, I do not pray to any of the persons whom I count as my legacy in the faith. They are joyously in heaven, worshipping before the throne. One day I will join them.

No but the level of devotion and honor given to it is quite high, so again serious veneration.

Do you “venerate” the US Flag by offering up prayers to it for your salvation?

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

Hail, holy Queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile show us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.

That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

The Hail Mary is Scriptural. The prayer after the closing part of the prayer is not an Orthodox prayer, but rather a Catholic prayer.

Yes, Mary is held in esteem. Nothing at all wrong with that.

This new RCC form is okay..... Most of it on target.... the last part, requesting that she pray for us, is unnecessary but not bad. If someone asked me to pray for something... even if it's not really something I specifically NEED to pray for... that's okay. And doesn't mean they regard me as God (God doesn't pray).
