Have you ever invited your pastor over to your home for dinner?

As the Pastor's family, I appreciate invites for dinner. A way to get to know members of the church.

Not at my current church, although the pastor has invited us for dinner. (We've only been going a few months so far).

At my previous church we had the pastor and his wife for dinner. At the church before that, before we moved, we had dinner with the pastor and his wife fairly regularly.

We're very private people and have never invited a pastor over for dinner. We rarely invite people over, so it's not like we're especially slighting the pastors in any way. I would like to invite my current pastor over sometime this year, it's just a matter of finding the right time to do so.

I think it sounds like a great idea.

I used to think I was a good host, always offer drinks to company and so forth. I would invite friend over for a BBQ or whatever, but that was about the extent of it. Then I met the girl who would wind up being my wife. So of course I went to her house to visit her and...Her mom had a plate full of food in front of me in like, a minute or two! And it was always like that when I went to her house.

I knew it. These Polish immigrants were better Host's than I ever was! Everybit of it was some new (to me) Polish food which was delicious! Only twice in years of knowing them did I not like the dish. But I thought about it and, a drink is only minimal, what if they're hungry too? Home cooked food, not some microwave stuff, lol. If they're hungry too, they'll say yes I'll have some.

So I became a lot better host than I used to be, and my family dont even live close enough to be dropping by and stuff, so...maybe the Pastor?!
