I was singing a choir song the other day and the words were from Jeremiah 17:7-8...

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord
And whose trust is the Lord.
“For he will be like a tree planted by the water,
That extends its roots by a stream
And will not fear when the heat comes;
But its leaves will be green,
And it will not be anxious in a year of drought
Nor cease to yield fruit.

In the year of drought, it is not anxious is how the song went and that stood out to me because the Lord will still see to it that the believers bear fruit. Do not fear. Do not worry.

Has Jeremiah 17 brought you any comfort?

Has Jeremiah 17 brought you any comfort?
Yes, it has along with Habakkuk 3:
Hab 3:17 Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls,
Hab 3:18 yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
Hab 3:19 GOD, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer's; he makes me tread on my high places.
