I've heard that people who are the most unloveable often need love the most. People who seem unlovable I mean. I think everyone deserves love. My question is how much do we put up with from people who try our patience all the time?

I don't believe anyone "deserves" love but that all need to love and all need to receive love.

SOMETIMES I'm "not-bad" in loving..... sometimes I'm terrible at it. It has far less to do with the receiver than with me.

Love can be up close and personal or it can be at a distance. If you are annoyed all the time then perhaps love from a distance is better

I agree.I don't think one has to subject oneself to constant abuse.People tend to take loving kindness for weakness.I have a cousin that I love dearly, but I had to let her know that I was not her personal ATM. And it did not affect my love for her at all.

Good thing you let her know. Some people will take advantage and I think that's happening with my friendship with someone.

Yeah. Some people need strong boundaries. And we have to set them to protect our love for them. They are like children who don't like the word no.

I agree. My friend has helped me clean my apt. and since he is jobless I paid him. Now he thinks I want to give him money all the time. No more.

I have a hard time setting boundaries. When I get angry and try to change things people think I'm mean. I never yell although my tone may sound annoyed. But I am a human being with feelings.

Setting boundaries can definitely be tough work! Especially when you deal with people who never had to abide by boundaries before and are selfish, narcissistic, etc...
