Sometimes people desire to be or have what they know they cannot be or have yet the longing for what is impossible can be very strong, strong enough to shape one's future as well as one's present and past. I wonder if such longings can lead to sin and corruption or if - at least occasionally - to goodness and kindness. What do you think when you examine your own conscience in prayer?
