If people are here illegally and we have a government unit finally going after them...is that a bad thing?

Depends. They do that here too. In some cases first they may stay here for years, kids go to school here and then all of a sudden they kick em out to Iran, a christian guy from our church too. That's evil. But letting Isis members have cells here to destroy the whole bunch is also evil. Just kick the bad ones out or better throw em in jail otherwise they attack you from there.

Depends, how about thta woman on the news who had US citizen children born here that was picked up and her only crime years ago was using a fake social security number so she could work and support her family. She actually reported as she was told to every six months, that was a shame and it will only drive people into hiding and make people like myself want to help them

What does that matter? If people aren't here legally and commit crimes while they are here, do they deserve to remain?

Only if the Rule of Law matters. Only if the USA is willing to remain a country. Only if we think illegal is illegal.

We could just disolve and declare the USA null and void - then heck, anyone can be here becauwe there would be no such thing as a citizen of the USA or living in the USA. Or we could just hand ourselves over to ISIS or North Korea or Iran or even Mexico - and become a part of that country, then there would be less need for ICE. While we're at it, we could make everything legal and thus have a crime rate of zero and no more need for law enforcement or the courts or prisons or other mean things - just "I'm OK, You're OK." Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood. And next time some country bombs Pearl Harbor or destroys two big office buildings, we can give them some nukes so they can damage more because obviously we've ticked them off and they feel made (after all, Jesus said if a man asks for something - give him that and more). There are many Americans who think this way, a LOT of them. And ICE ticks them off and it's bad to cause someone to be ticked off so ICE is bad.

The rhetoric of terrorism does not apply to the vast majority of undocumented aliens in the USA so it matters because the rhetoric of banning and deporting is mainly about alleged terrorists and criminals. If the rhetoric is changed so it becomes about deporting everybody who is in the USA without proper legal visas or other entitlements to be there then fine pursue that and see how it plays out. For example, ought one deport a mother whose minor children are born in the USA and hence are USA citizens by birth? What of the person who entered the USA 30 years ago has built a business employs a number of USA residents, ought he/she be deported if he/she does not have a current visa or other entitlement to live in the USA?

I believe the ICE raids are only arresting those who commit other crimes so the mother who has a child born here was not the target.

I read that one such mother was arrested because she used a fake social security number to get a job not long after she arrived. Technically that's a crime. Practically it is a necessity. Is she a risk to USA national security?

She entered illegally. She committed identity thief. (Already, two crimes). And if SHE got away with both of these, then so can a terrorist - just as easily. Someone may say that crime doesn't matter (laws being mean spirited) ... some say that it's okay to commit crimes if you are a mother because enforcing the law might impact the child (whereas your mother being a criminal won't). But here's the thing: If some mother can do this, the "system" did nothing to stop it, then so can some terrorist. I think if it was OUR mother or son or sister who died in 9/11 - we might think it would be a good thing to get a handle on the MILLIONS and MILLIONS of illegal aliens in this country (whether or not they have a child being endangered their their parent who has no regard for the law).

No, they broke the law and are here illegally. They should know there is always a chance of being deported
