I am at my sister's house further inland...the forecast looks much better than it did when I left. I would have been okay to stay at home, but I had a great time last night with my nieces and nephews, and being with family. The height of the storm is due to be in about 9 hours or so here.

My power came back on last night, after roughly 52 hours. Then, I discovered that my monitor had crapped out, so I had to replace that, but now I'm back in business. I had some yard cleanup to keep me busy while the power was out, at my place and at my mother's. But, I got all that done. We sure got lucky here, but I'm sorry to hear there was so much flooding in NC.
