I routinely divert cellphone calls when I'm travelling abroad. Set up online number that looks like it's in the same geographical area, divert cellphone to online number, use online number from burner phone when travelling abroad. Much cheaper than paying whatever roaming charges your provider cares to charge, or being totally out of contact for however long you are travelling.
