How safe where you live?

How safe is it where you live? On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being extremely safe and 10 being not safe at all, how would you rate your location?

Probably 1 or 2. Not far from me I know a couple of friends who still don't lock their house and leave their keys in their cars overnight.

That said when I lived in the city I left my phone in my car overnight a couple of times, when the car was parked on the street, and it was still there in the morning. But then a couple of times someone smashed the window to take a handful of change from the coin holder.

Among the 10 houses on our street, we have had a murder, a Federal Raid, a Home Invasion, a Drug Dealer (family) and multiple burglaries. When a neighbor called the police during an attempted home invasion, she heard “911, Please Hold.”

On the other hand, God has never failed to protect my home and family. When our car was burglarized, someone recovered the “stuff” that the kids had dumped (including my wife’s RN ID badge). When my wife went to identify which items were ours, the lady that found it had a daughter who had just outgrown shoes that fit our daughter … so we lost a Sun-visor and gained 4 pairs of girls shoes and a friendly neighbor a few blocks over.

I live on 23 acres way out in the 'boonies' with the closest neighbors being 9 miles away. The town center itself is approximately 12 miles from my house. People here are very friendly and I never worry about being in any type of danger.
