If I pray, when I pray, it's usually the Lord's prayer. Though at times I say short prayers. I know God knows what's in my heart and there is no point in being wordy to try to "explain" things to Him.

I detest most prayers I hear from a lot of Christians I have heard over my years, either in life or online. Most of them seem like an invocation or incantation designed for the audience for either vanity or to suggest pre-approval for certain viewpoints prior to delivering them - rather than for true openness or edification for either the speaker or their listeners.
