I came across a bobcat years ago when I first started going to the local county park to hike.

Nothing hugely scary or weird, I've come across a few rattlesnakes. Once I saw something cross the trail 100 yards or so in front of me and couldn't figure out what it was - it was like an oversized cat. It might have been a bobcat, I couldn't be sure. Another time something leaped from the leaves on one side of a dirt road to the other and disappeared into the leaves. That turned out to be a hawk hunting. That was pretty cool.

I was hiking and when I went up an incline in the trail, at the top was Momma black bear and two cubs. Her back was to me so I quietly and slowly backed down the incline and decided to call it quits for the day.
