In the daily chaos and turmoil of the modern world, Satan's countless traps seem to surround us on all sides. In our lives as believing Christians, we often face countless challenges and temptations that try to lead us away from our faith. Invariably, for centuries, humanity has been a participant in a long struggle between good and evil, between light and darkness. In this constant battle, Satan, the enemy of man, often tries to undermine our faith and lead us down the path of destruction
In this Video we will focus on five amazing aspects of our faith that show that Satan is limited in his actions against us. This will not be a simple discussion of complex theology or abstract concepts. We will turn to the Holy Scriptures, discovering the true promises of God that give us great strength in the fight against the powers of darkness.
Number 1: Satan cannot do whatever he wants because he is under God's control, and in particular, he cannot tempt us without permission. The first thing Satan cannot do against us is that he cannot do everything he wants. It may seem surprising, but God has ultimate dominion over Satan and all his activities. Satan has no free hand to wreak havoc and evil without any limits. The story of Job, which is one of the most famous examples of the struggle between Satan and God's influence, shows this boundary. When we look at this story, we see how Satan had to ask God's permission to test Job's faith. He could do nothing without God's permission. God gave Satan permission, but He also set limits.
Satan could destroy Job's possessions and take away his loved ones, but he could not take his life. Even in the face of the greatest suffering, God did not abandon Job, and Satan remained limited in his actions. This is an important reminder that Satan does not have unlimited authority or power. His actions are controlled by God who knows what boundaries to set and what permission to give. Satan can try to tempt us, but he must get God's permission. This boundary, this control, gives us the certainty that we will not be abandoned in the face of an attack by an evil spirit. It is amazing how in all this chaos and darkness, there is an unbreakable force that keeps Satan on a leash. God knows how to control Satan, how to supervise his actions. Isn't it fascinating?
This means that we are not left to chance, defenseless against Satan and his temptations. There is a plan, there is an oversight that is above Satan. May this thought comfort and reassure us as we face trials and temptations. Satan can be cunning and deceitful, but God has the final say. We are under His protection, His concern and His authority. This indestructible sense of security gives us the strength to oppose Satan and defeat him in battle. We can stand strong and confident knowing that our Great Defender is on our side and Satan can do nothing to us that God will not permit.
Number 2: Satan cannot make us sin. In a world full of temptations and dangers, there is one extraordinary power that Satan will never have - he cannot force us to sin. It is our unique freedom, our firm and steadfast will that has the final word in this great dispute between good and evil. In Romans we read: "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all have sinned." Satan, the master of intrigues and insinuations, is constantly waiting for our weaknesses. Like a predator hunting its prey, it impersonates our desires and surrounds us from all sides.
But in this dark labyrinth of temptations and deceptive passions, we must remember that we ourselves are the captains of our souls. The final decision in choosing evil or good is always ours. Isn't it fascinating that even the most powerful enemy doesn't have the power to make decisions for us? Even though Satan urges, whispers, and tempts, he has no power over our choices. This is the moment when our human freedom and responsibility emerge in all their glory. It is our choices, our will, that determine our path.
We have the power to resist temptation and make decisions according to God's will. It is amazing that despite our sinfulness, God has given us freedom, and with that freedom, also responsibility. Let this thought delight and excite us. We have the freedom to resist Satan's influence and choose the path of righteousness. We don't have to be slaves to sin because God has given us the strength to overcome it. Let us remember that it is in our free will that we have the power to stand on God's side, reject sin and follow the path of salvation.
Number 3: Satan cannot predict the future or read our minds. Satan is certainly a cunning strategist who analyzes our weaknesses and tries to find ways to manipulate us. However, it has no ability to read our minds or predict future events. This ability belongs only to God, it is hidden in His omniscience and power. In the Letter to the Hebrews we read: "For the word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and is able to judge the thoughts and desires of the heart." The letter to the Corinthians goes on to say: “Now we see as in a mirror dimly; and then we shall see face to face: Now I know in part, but then I shall know even as I am known."
Satan has no access to this divine knowledge. He has no insight into our innermost thoughts, he is unable to predict our future choices. This is what limits and weakens him. His strategies are built on trial and error, on the manipulation of our weaknesses, but they have no knowledge of what will happen in the future. Isn't that fascinating? No matter how complicated and obscure our life circumstances may be, Satan has no advantage because he does not know the hidden corners of our thoughts or future choices. May this reflection inspire hope and humility in us. We are surrounded by divine knowledge that pervades our being and judges our intentions.
It is our strength, our relationship with God that protects us. We are not destined to be manipulated and dominated by Satan. We have a God who knows us better than we know ourselves and who guides us through the uncertainties and challenges of life. In our cultivating our faith and discerning God's will, we can be sure that Satan has no access to our innermost thoughts and future. This is our secret weapon, our strength that allows us to stand guard over our soul and defend our choices against evil.
