Has your congregation ever changed its affiliation?

Has your congregation ever changed its affiliation? Such as, if your church was LCMS Lutheran and found that it was more in line with ELCA, did it change to that affiliation? Do you know of a church that changed its affiliation, and if so, how did it fare afterward?

It's a thought-provoking question. As I think about the local congregations of any denomination which I know to have made such a change, it doesn't appear that there has been a uniform result.

I also know of a few in which some members broke away to start a brand new congregation but of the same denominational affiliation as before. With these, it was the same thing--some prospered, big time, while others gradually dwindled.
