when at the Service of Pascha
the Orthodox faithful proclaim
the Resurrection of Christ saying joyfully:
"Christ is Risen!"
And then reply
"Truly He is Risen!"
I say YOU are doubtless the one...
The very one indeed...
Who replies to the joy of:
"Christ is Risen!"
Who replies laconically:
"Reckon He's Up, y'all..."

I am that one too!



Have a blessed new year...
A Good time to set
And begin to pursue
Spiritual Goals...

For myself, small ones...
With the intention...
As they are attained...
To give them Increase...

Discipleship entails self-discipline...
It is incremental...
A little at a time...
Like any other attainment...

New Year's Resolutions almost always fail...
Because they are grandiose
Do a little...
Then a little more...

The time to lay your ears back...
To lead with your fangs...
Is only when under assault...
The assault to do evil...

And let God give increase...
Nothing worthwhile is easy...
