Happy 60th to Disneyland!

I've only been to Disney World and not Disneyland.

While at Disney World, even though I knew that some rides caused injuries and deaths in the past, it was easy to forget and feel completely safe. I think that's because the rides are mostly (not all) enclosed so they don't look dangerous. You don't get to see them looping or doing crazy things.

I would love to visit all the Disney parks throughout the world and see how they're operated, the similarities and the differences.

What was your favorite ride at Disney World?

Today at work there was repair on the elevator and as I looked in at the empty shell all I could think of was Tower of Terror! I LOVED that ride!

The orginal Disneyland is in Anaheim, CA. It's celebrating its 60th birthday this month. COPIES (with slight variations) are now found in Florida, France, Japan and China.

I have seen the castle in Belgium on which the design of the famous Disney Castle is based. (It's at Esneux, in the south of Belgium.)

So what are your favorite parts of the park?

Hard to pin down any single attraction.... the whole experience is great. But probably my favorite individual things would be Radiator Springs Racers and Midway (in California Adventure), Indiana Jones and the parades next door at Disneyland. When I was younger, the big roller coaster at California Adventure and Space Mountain at Disneyland were my favorite things but in my old age, I'm just not that into roller coasters anymore.
