Halloween is coming soon. What are some of your favorite horror movies? Or Halloween movies?

My daughter loves the Saw series!!

I generally laugh at horror movies but the one that messed with my mind the most was The Ring. The girl resembled my daughter's best friend.

"The Shining" will always, always, always be my favorite.
I have so much appreciation for the film after I watched the "extra features". It seems that Stanley Kubrick pushed Shelley Duvall so hard during filming that she was physically sick. So, a lot of what comes out in her character is actually because she was physically spent.

Wasn't there a remake of that movie? I mean, WHO makes a remake of a classic like that?? You can't beat it!

When I think of Halloween and horror movies I'm always faced with the inevitable question that us Christians do think of and that is this... What would Jesus do? I wonder... What kind of horror movies and Halloween practices would Jesus like, or be involved in? Please tell me because I can't think of a single one. Can you?

When i watch horror movies, it just drives the point how abhorrent evil is and how much we all need Jesus...

The movies that affect me most are those which I can see actually happening. Jaws freaked me out as a kid because sharks exist and I saw it a few weeks before we came down here to Florida for vacation. I couldn't help but think of sharks when I went into the surf.

There is a very real chance of humanity creating sentient machines that will quickly become more intelligent than all of mankind combined, and I really don't think it will end well for us...this is why I love the Terminator series so much. A race of machines whose intelligence will be incomprehensible to us is a scary notion to say the least.

Horror movies about human monsters (serial killers, etc.) are also frightening because such people exist, and you never know when you might encounter one.

Movies about zombies, ghosts, demons, and other supernatural things are more humorous to me because we have no compelling reason to believe in such things. :)

If you can not visualize it in heaven... why are you visually stimulated by it now?

I don't watch horror movies any more. I used to watch all of them from way back and got scared out of my skin. Now I avoid them because they give me nightmares.

I'm reminded of this little children's Bible song we all learned in Sunday school. :)
O be careful little eyes what you see
O be careful little eyes what you see
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little eyes what you see

O be careful little ears what you hear
O be careful little ears what you hear
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little ears what you hear

O be careful little hands what you do
O be careful little hands what you do
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little hands what you do

O be careful little feet where you go
O be careful little feet where you go
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little feet where you go

O be careful little mouth what you say
O be careful little mouth what you say
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little mouth what you say

Question: Would you be comfortable watching horror movies and Halloween stuff if Jesus Christ was sitting right next to you?
